The spring breeze of nuclear power is full. On the first day of April, the capital Beijing ushered in the biggest event of China's nuclear energy industry in 2019-"China Nuclear Energy Sustainable Development Forum, 2019 Spring International Summit".
At this summit forum, Yu Jianfeng, Chairman and Party Secretary of China National Nuclear Corporation, delivered an opening speech on the theme of "Nuclear Energy Development, Innovation and Cooperation in the Clean Energy Era". Chairman Yu introduced: "China has already operated and is under construction three generations of nuclear power units. 10 units, accounting for more than 1/3 of the world's third-generation nuclear power units. China has built the world's first batch of AP1000 and EPR third-generation pressurized Water Reactor nuclear power units in operation. The independent three-generation nuclear power Hualong 1 is progressing smoothly, the world's first pile of Fuqing nuclear power 5, 6 units, overseas first pile of Pakistan Karachi K2, K3 project, is expected to be completed and put into operation as planned or ahead of schedule. In the field of fourth-generation nuclear power innovation, China has accelerated the implementation of major national science and technology projects for high-temperature gas-cooled reactors. The high-temperature gas-cooled reactor demonstration project has entered the final stage of installation and commissioning, and will be completed and put into operation in the first half of next year".
Liu Hua, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment and Director of the National Nuclear Safety Administration, delivered a keynote speech: "This year, nuclear power projects will start construction one after another. There are 56 nuclear power units in operation and under construction in my country, and the number of units has reached the third largest in the world. China will Continue to develop nuclear power under the premise of ensuring safety."
Zhang Jianhua, deputy director of the National Atomic Energy Agency, introduced: "The Atomic Energy Law passed the review of the Ministry of Justice's ministerial meeting not long ago and will soon be submitted to the State Council executive meeting for deliberation. It is expected to be promulgated within this year".
Liu Baohua, deputy director of the National Energy Administration, said: "It is necessary to vigorously develop clean energy including nuclear power, study and formulate a new round of nuclear power medium and long-term development plans, and promote the high-quality development of nuclear power. 1. will continue to upgrade the third-generation nuclear power technology and actively carry out research and development demonstrations of new-generation nuclear power technologies such as small reactors and fourth-generation reactors. 2. should consider the coordination and balance of the entire nuclear power industry chain as a whole, and form a capacity structure and layout compatible with the development of nuclear power in various links such as R & D and design, equipment manufacturing, fuel support, and nuclear waste treatment and disposal. 3. must adhere to efficient development. The nuclear power industry must enhance cost awareness and market awareness, actively adapt to the requirements of power market reform, reduce costs, make up for shortcomings, improve development quality and efficiency, and develop and grow in market competition".
