Recently, after two hours of uninterrupted testing, the North Sea LNG seawater pump C pump is running stably, indicating the complete success of the seawater pump maintenance work after nearly three weeks.
The company completed the supply of four sea pumps for the North Sea LNG LNG receiving station in 2015. In August 2018, the company received feedback from the North Sea LNG site that the vibration value of the non-drive end of the C pump motor exceeded the standard, causing the C pump to jump and fail to operate. Due to the important role of seawater pump in keeping warm and supplying gas to LNG receiving station in winter, the company immediately organized relevant departments to discuss the problem of excessive vibration on site, and sent relevant personnel to carry out spectrum analysis on site. After discharging the reasons such as instrument failure and motor failure, the problem was locked on the pump group. Combined with relevant data on site, it was preliminarily determined that the abnormal operation of the pump group caused by excessive installation foundation level resulted in vibration.
In November 2019, in order to ensure the winter supply guarantee task of this year, the LNG receiving station required our company to solve the vibration problem of pump C of seawater pump. The company immediately organized relevant personnel to go to the site to check the inventory of relevant special tools and spare parts with the site personnel, and make relevant preparations for the maintenance of the seawater pump in advance. At the beginning of December, the C pump of seawater pump began to be overhauled. The company dispatched one on-site design and one on-site assembly personnel to actively cooperate with the on-site work and timely feedback the on-site situation to the company. After several steps of pump lifting, disassembly, cleaning, testing, reassembly and finding equality, the conditions for retesting the pump were reached on December 19 and re-appraisal was carried out on the morning of the 20th, after more than two hours of uninterrupted testing, the data of the pump group are stable and normal, and the problem of vibration over-tolerance at the non-drive end of the motor is perfectly solved.
The sea water pump is an important equipment in the LNG liquefied natural gas receiving station. The successful overhaul of the C pump has eliminated the risk that the on-site sea water pump has been without a backup pump. During the critical period of this winter supply guarantee, a cardiotonic agent has been injected into the completion of the winter supply guarantee task of the receiving station.
