On September 26, 2019, China General Machinery Industry Association and Kunlun Energy Co., Ltd. organized a review meeting on the technical specifications, pump design and test outline of LNG cryogenic submersible pumps (tank low pressure pumps, high pressure transfer pumps) in Shanghai. Beijing Branch, Sinopec Beihai LNG, Kunlun Energy Jiangsu LNG, Sinopec Shanghai Engineering Co., Ltd., Kunlun Energy Dalian LNG, Shanghai LNG Co., Ltd., Hudong Zhonghua Shipyard (Group) Co., Ltd., Shanghai Jiaotong University, Nantong University, Jiangsu Tuochchi Engineering relevant leaders and experts from technology co., ltd. and other units attended the review meeting.

The meeting elected senior engineer Wang Ning as the leader of the expert group and Professor Shi Weidong as the deputy leader, and set up a 13-member expert group to organize this review activity. The expert group listened to the report of Yan Xiaowei, chief engineer of the company, on the technical specification, design and test outline of LNG cryogenic submersible pump. The participating experts questioned the performance parameter selection, material selection, standard requirements for similar foreign products, LNG test conditions, and bottom valve design for the pump group, and put forward similar engineering experience in the past.
Apollo, as a new manufacturer of LNG cryogenic pumps, will organize, digest, modify and refine the design and material selection of the pump set according to all the questions and suggestions put forward by the expert group after the meeting to make it more reasonable. Apollo will fully absorb the engineering experience of similar foreign products put forward by relevant experts at the meeting and accelerate the follow-up work of localization of LNG cryogenic submersible pumps of the company.
During the meeting, the participating experts and guests inspected the production sites of Apollo's Xidu plant and Jianghai plant respectively, and expressed their full recognition and praise for Apollo's existing product technical reserves, plant conditions, high-precision CNC machining center, quality inspection and testing methods, Apollo's rapid development and team building in the past 15 years. At the same time, the experts at the meeting also told us with great kindness and friendliness: from the aspects of business management, API standard digestion, design and selection of materials, supply chain procurement, organization of production and ex-factory testing, how to treat nuclear power pumps and petrochemicals differently, and how to avoid detours, these are the precious wealth Apollo has gained through this meeting, and will also become the spur and motivation for the company to strive hard and continue to develop in the future.
