July 24, World First NUHOMS®VVER1000 spent fuel dry storage containers were shipped smoothly at the company's Jianghai plant. Lu Jinqi, chairman of the company, delivered a welcome speech at the meeting. Leaders and guests from Jiangsu Nuclear Power, Ou Anuo and China Nuclear Power delivered speeches and congratulated the smooth delivery of the product. After listening to Apollo's project progress report on spent fuel dry storage containers, the participating leaders and guests visited the cleaning workshop site of the company's Jianghai factory. Yang Gaosheng, Deputy Director/Gao Gong of Jiangsu Nuclear Power Company, Philippe HATRON, President of Ou Anuo China, Jean-Pierre GROS, Senior Vice President of Ou Anuo Back-end Asia Pacific Region, Shulong Manager/Gao Gong of China Nuclear Power Company, Lu Jinqi, Chairman of Apollo Company, and Xia Jingling, Deputy General Manager, cut the ribbon for this shipping activity and jointly witnessed this landmark moment.
Since Apollo launched the Tianwan spent fuel dry storage container supply contract on April 28, 2018, the Apollo project team has completed the first NUHOMS in more than a year.®VVER1000 the assembly of the spent fuel dry storage container, successfully passed the key test nodes including pressure test and helium leak test, the first spent fuel dry storage container barrel assembly was ready for shipment on July 24, 2019. NUHOMS®The smooth shipment of the VVER1000 spent fuel dry storage container fully proves the technology and ability of the project team of Oanno and Apollo in the research and development and manufacturing of new products. The whole project team fully possesses the spirit of overcoming difficulties and the attitude of actively solving problems for users, which has laid a good foundation for the future cooperation between Oanno and Apollo to expand the third-party market and carry out long-term cooperation between the two sides.
