In order to actively respond to the country's call to "promote the spirit of craftsmen and cultivate craftsmen from big countries" and promote the training of high-skilled talents in China's nuclear power field, on the morning of November 20th, the "First Nuclear Power Plant Pump Maintenance Skills Competition" hosted by the China Nuclear Energy Industry Association was held in Shanghai The competition officially kicked off. At the opening ceremony of the conference, Qian Zhimin, chairman of the association, attended the meeting and delivered a speech.

Chairman Lu Jinqi delivered a welcome speech on behalf of the organizer. The use of Apollo as the main organizer of this competition is a trust in Shanghai. As a professional nuclear power equipment manufacturing enterprise, Apollo's main business is pumps for nuclear power plants, accounting for 97% of the company's total business. Therefore, the holding of this competition in Apollo is the greatest trust in our company and the industry. This competition is hosted by China Nuclear Energy Industry Association, co-organized by China National Nuclear Corporation, China National Nuclear Construction Corporation, China General Nuclear Power Group, Huaneng Group, and National Nuclear Power. The association's nuclear pump special working group, China National Nuclear Power Operation Management Co., Ltd., China General Nuclear Power Operation Co., Ltd., Shanghai Apollo Machinery Co., Ltd., Chengdu Haoguang Nuclear Power Technology Service Co., Ltd. and other units jointly undertake. Zhang Huazhu, director of the Nuclear Power Plant Peer Evaluation and Experience Exchange Committee of the China Nuclear Energy Industry Association and director of the competition organizing committee, introduced the background, purpose and significance of the competition. Zhang Hongtao, deputy director of the Shanghai Nuclear Power Office, delivered a speech on behalf of the government where the competition was held. This skills competition was held in Fengxian, Shanghai. It is the recognition of Shanghai nuclear power manufacturing equipment by the Nuclear Energy Industry Association. The content of this skill competition is the theoretical examination and maintenance practice of single-stage centrifugal pumps used in nuclear power plants. The theoretical examination in the first stage has been successfully completed and has now entered the practical operation stage. The centrifugal pumps used in the competition are disassembled, inspected, faulted and assembled, and finally verified in the form of re-identification tests.
The competition lasts for four days. Skilled experts from 7 teams including China National Nuclear Corporation, China General Nuclear Corporation, China National Nuclear Technology, Huaneng, and China National Nuclear Construction Corporation are gathering at the Shanghai Apollo Company for a fierce competition.
