Rong Jian, deputy director of the China Nuclear Power Development Center of the National Energy Administration, introduced the nuclear power development plan and interpreted relevant industrial policies at the meeting. This year, China has restarted the approval of six nuclear power projects. As one of the national baseload energy, nuclear power is very important for its safety and sustainable development. In the context of the escalating economic and trade disputes between China and the United States, the machinery industry, as China's basic industry, should step up scientific research and tackle key problems and realize the autonomy of key equipment, especially parts and raw materials, as soon as possible. Relevant government departments are also paying close attention to whether the technology, equipment, materials, and talents related to nuclear power will have a significant impact on the development of the domestic nuclear power industry. At present, the non-localized part of domestic nuclear power plants is the "most difficult bone". The Sino-US trade friction has brought opportunities for the localization of China's nuclear power equipment. Taking this as an opportunity to find out and solve the shortcomings of nuclear power and the "stuck neck link", The spring of localization is not far away.
The participating companies exchanged their production and operation conditions, especially the latest progress in independent scientific research, and discussed the response measures and demands of the U.S. to restrict the export of high-tech products and technologies to China. The relevant policy support of the department provides advice and suggestions for the long-term and stable development of the country's nuclear power industry.
